What do i need to know?

What are Eyelash Extensions? Beautiful, semi permanent lashes are applied to your own natural lashes.  These are individually placed on a single lash, one by one, enhancing the length, volume and thickness of your natural lash and will instantly transform your eyes. The lashes come in various lengths, colours, curls and thicknesses to suit your natural look.  They are virtually weightless and they do not affect your own eyelashes. Shedding will occur naturally in line with the cycle of your own lashes.  It is recommended to have them infilled every 2-3 weeks in order to keep them looking tip top and full.

How long will they last?
Depending on how you care for your lashes, they can last for up to 6/8 weeks but to keep them looking full and luscious, I recommend an infill every 2/3 weeks.

Do I need a patch test?
New clients will need a patch test performed at least 48 hours prior to the treatment.

Does the procedure hurt?
You should not feel any pain throughout the procedure, however you will be required to keep your eyes closed for the duration of your treatment to allow me to apply the lashes with ease.

How long does the treatment take?
A full set will take approx. 1.5 - 2 hours.
Infills take less time, depending on how many lashes need to be applied.

Can I wear contact lenses?
Yes you can. The lashes are applied only to your natural lash and do not touch any skin or the inside of your eyelid. It does not affect the lens at all.

Can I get my eyelashes tinted?
You can get your lashes tinted before the procedure but not after.

Can I wear mascara with the lashes?
You can’t wear mascara and you really will not need! The oil in the mascara may break the bond of glue and weaken the lash. You can wear normal mascara on the bottom lashes if you wish.

Do they take off your own lashes when they come off?
No they should not take off your own lashes when you remove a full set. Providing they are properly applied, they should not damage your natural lashes at all.

Are eyelash extensions right for me?
If your eyelashes are naturally very curly, frizzy or kinked then it can be very difficult to guarantee the endurance of the lash extension. I would recommend a consultation prior to making an appointment.

Can everybody have eyelash extensions?
